Sportskeeda
Contributing for Sportskeeda, a global sports and esports news website, was the first opportunity I came upon to gain experience on a wide-reaching platform and get a taste in sports writing. In the spring of my sophomore year at Fordham, I was recruited by Sportskeeda to contribute content to their NFL and NBA sections, thus I wrote a couple articles each week, offering up my analytical two cents on the latest stories happening in those two professional leagues. I mostly covered the New York teams due to my interest and knowledge, but a few of my pieces stepped outside of the Big Apple.
Overtime, my published articles began accumulating more reads, letting me know that I was reaching a larger audience and making good strides with my writing. At the end of my one year stint, my page had earned over 5,000 reads, earning me a “Top Contributor” recognition from Sportskeeda. I was grateful for the opportunity presented to me by Sportskeeda to practice my new interest, see results, and get my name and work published on a global platform.
